Quan Y Grotto

Quan Y Grotto or rather hospital hidden in a cave. This is where some of the Vietnamese injured soldiers were treated during their war with the French. It was fascinating - they even had a swimming pool and a cinema!

Top Gear - our style!

We might be minus the gaudy suits and the heavy loads but Jeremy Clarkson we did it!! This is our version of Top Gear around Cat Ba, Vietnam. It was brilliant fun!

Cat Ba

We arrived in Cat Ba truly exhausted after kayaking and swimming in Halong Bay. The resort was lovely and we chilled by the pool for a couple of hours before meeting Duc for dinner.

Kayaking

If you get the chance to go here we would definetly reccommend it!

Kayaking in Halong Bay!

Kayaking in Halong Bay was an amazing experience! We were out in the middle following Duc around the islands. The scenery was superb and there was no one else around. This is us having a photo stop in Orchid Bay - how appropriate for Singapore!

Driving the boat!

The following day we changed boats for the next part of our journey. We got the opportunity to drive the boat - he, he!!

Karaoke!

At night on the boat at the bottom of Te Top Island. Following a great dinner we all took part in the karaoke - a mixture of pop and Vietnamese songs! What a giggle!

Sunset in Halong Bay

Relaxing after our swim on the upper deck watching the sun go down was great fun!
